SportsFactory Foundation, a neighborhood based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was established in 2008 as vehicle for creating opportunities for inner city youth and adults to engage in sports and fitness activities.

Combating Childhood Obesity
Prevalence of Childhood Overweight and Obesity Report published in 2013 (http://www.clocc.net/about-childhood-obesity/prevalence/) showed that Chicago kids have a higher overweight/obesity rate than their peers across the country. Predominantly black communities such as Englewood (55.2%) and Roseland (56.4%) have about 4.5 times higher obesity rates than the predominantly white communities such as Norwood Park (11.8%).
Providing Safe & Engaging Environment
Predominantly black communities have higher rates of violent crimes. Our programs provide children with a safe environment during the after school hours and summer breaks.
